I always wanted a rare Big Max Argo.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

        (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

What is the difference in a big Max and lil max? Is it just the 440?

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
              Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

The Big Max came with 440 and 50 axle chains, early smaller Max II came with 295 single, 340 JLO or Tecumseh OH160 and 40 axle chain.

The Big Max I know of were either JLO or Kawasaki in the later, I did not know the Kohler was Available in any Max. It looks like it has one piece axles which would have came about then.

                    Bingo!

I was told, hearsay, 3 kohlers were put in RIMS first 3 including g's. Only 2 stroke Kohler Max I heard of.
I'd imagine it is possible as Growth Products acquired the remaining Kohler 2stroke inventory late 80's.
You would have to ask Galen.

Wasn't the original Big Max a Kawasaki 440?

Also, there were 30+ bids up to $3800 up to a couple days before the auction ended, and the "Buy it Now" came down from ~$4300 to ~$3950, and none of the bidders in this group would jump an extra $150? It sounds like the auction was artificially bidded up to give the impression of high demand... I know that's a a big assumption, but it doesn't make any other sense unless there were multiple accounts under one's control to add more bis to get the price higher. Also it was set to "Reserve not Met" for any amount under the buy it now, so the winning account used to inflate the price wouldn't be under contractual obligation according to Ebay's policies...

Maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist lol. But it is suspicious.
