Not sure if there is an engine cover...correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like a much older unit, maybe a single cylinder with large after market exhaust added...the black box appears to be a "battery box"?, and then the fuel tank...cannot see an air cleaner

The powerplant appears to be an OH160 Tecumseh. 'Can't tell what the added options around it are, though.

Right on all counts. The metal-canister air filter strapped to the inner starboard side is the same type that cam on the RIM. Giant battery box, too. Nice to have the capacity, but it sure would be nice to have that sit down on the frame.
