  • Wanted good 9-tooth shift collar

Figured before I plunk down the cash for a new one I'd see if anyone had a 9 tooth shift collar kicking around they'd let go for reasonably cheap.

Let me know what you have and how much, thanks!

T20 parts all packed to move but pallet is still in the shop. I'll dig sometime today. I believe there are a couple in there. My suggestion with a 9 tooth is split the shifter if you didn't yet. My personal 2 has a 9 tooth in it and with split shifts easily. The 9 tooth ones are tough because the teeth are very heavy. I have found new style 18 tooth shift collars with every other tooth ground off in 9 tooth drums. Transmission worked for many years that way. Do you need gaskets and seals also?

I intend on splitting the shifter as the first or second modification after I get it running reliably. *edit* Dirtdobber posted in my other thread that my damaged one here is likely an 18 tooth one with half the teeth ground off. Looking at it again, I'd have to agree!

I will need at least the main case gasket. I haven't removed the clips to pull the sprocket shafts out to check the seals. There is one toasted carbon thrust washer(?) that came out with the shift collar. I believe it went behind that gear, so will be looking for that I'm sure. I did not see any wear on that gear or behind it. All the pinon gear thrust spacers and needle bearings looked to be in fantastic shape.
