I think you would be better off with a Max or an Argo. The Hoots were lightly constructed and didn't have a very well designed drivetrain. They interested me when they first came out, but then I looked at one in detail and determined that there were some flaws in the design, but I did like the layout.

I agree with you for the design, but what I like is that fit in a pick up truck easily. For the mechanical part of it, I do have a little machine shop so I could improve it over time.
Im retired, it will be a hobby of riding it and do maintenance.
