  • Oklahoma Tornado

I would like to send my respects to all of those who were involved with or had family and friends that were hit by the tornado in Oklahoma. I just found out that one of my old Soldier's 9 yr old daughter was killed in the storm. I havent been able to reach him due to distance and of course the level of greif that he must be in. I can't imagine losing my daughter or my son, and the thought of them going before me is,,,,,, well,,,,,, I pray that it doesn't happen.

Victims, family and friends of the victims of the tornado,, my family and I, Military and blood, sends our deep condolences!

I agree completely Fred. Sorry to hear of your friends loss. Our hearts and prayers to your friends and all the victims of this deadly storm.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

To be honest it even affects us lot over here. When it comes on the news and you here of fatalities, especially kids, it always saddens you. So innocent, they just don't expect it do they.

As a matter of interest, are these house / premises insured against this or is it classed as an act of God?

Thats called Tornado alley and tornado ins might be mandatory. I'm in Arkansas about 150 miles from this and we were worried about tornadoes also.

I suppose 150 miles isn't a lot when you have something that size and powerful hurtling over the ground, nowhere near far enough away.

We had one over here a few years back, it damaged a few roofs and we thought that was really serious, no way would I want to be over there in tornado alley. There's just nothing you can do, no defense what so ever.
