  • Shop Cleanup 101 lol

Began an aruous journey into the bowels of darkness I call a shop....it is actually very nice 20' x 20' x 12' ceiling and smooth concrete floor, insulated and 100amp service. It just extremely messy and cluttered; I mean really bad too.

Yesterday I picked up an all metal cabinet 72"H x 36"W x 20"D with nice large doors for a twenty..at a yard sale!

Thus I collected Most of my shop supplies, lube, cleaners, paints and body shop supplies and filled it.

Then mounted the sign on the door. Organized my file cabinet and set my solvent tank in next to it too, slowly getting back wall done and then work outwards from there...

    thanks for reading

Your parts cleaner looks like it could do with a little less parts :P

Nice work on the storage.. as the saying goes, a place for everything.... my perfect garage would be clad with shallow shelves stacked to the ceiling.

Ya it's a collect all right now for some of the dirtier parts, I'll get it sorted out. Just a handy catchall.

Got heat on in there right now...woo hoo...gonna be out there in a bit and getting back to more cleanup organizing for sure!

Going to install long shelves up at 8' about 2' deep mounted to the wall and suspended from chains from rafters, this should...make LOTS of space on floor, as I can toss up light, and little used items, bag of fiberglass mat, blow molded tool cases for grinders sanders etc, coolers for camping and that sort of big light stuff for example.

Will be a while before I can get to making shelves gotta calculate how much material and chain I need.

Also going to brace the one single light fixture in the ceiling really well, then add a ceiling fan to help circulate heat.

Always more fun when it's tidy and organized, nothing worse than spending half your time searching for stuff
