  • Simple food

As a follow on to Sol's Coffee and doughnuts thread I thought I'd start a thread from the other end of the scale

Whilst I admire Sol's cullinary skills there's just no way I could eat some of his creations, especially for breakfast

Tonight, for tea (dinner ?) we had Toad in the hole made with venison suasages and smothered with baked beans. Plain, simple and absolutely delicious

    Hope we have faggots tomorrow

You just can't beat plain simple food, and lots of it

When I was in Bosina I stayed on a British camp....Ate their food for over 3 months...all I can say is grease galore.....most everything deep fried.....good for the old artieries.....
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Well rodp that's a fine offer and I'm definately in for some venison, the rest kind of frightens me. Some of the offerings I'm sure are probably good but the local name just doesn't sound good, might help if you try to speak english. I think I'm definately busy tomorrow . All In jest of course.

If you think that's bad you should hear the local accent in the Black Country. Try saying this when you've had a few !!

"Them bay bay windas bin em, they bin bayem " Yep, that's the way we "spake", just ask frencconnexion (?)
