June 6, 1944 - A Date We Should Never Take For Granted
Seventy years ago, our Military Forces were asked to begin what would become one of the most important missions in WWII. We lost many hero's that day as did some of our allies and we as Americans should NEVER take for granted what so many brave men did for us that day and the days that followed, including giving their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.

We also should NEVER forget all of our other extremely brave men and women who have followed in their footsteps which serve and protect us to this very day. God bless each and every one of you who have ever served in any engagement that the U.S. has been involved in. You are all truly my hero's. THANK YOU!

My old man was there the day after D day, apparently it wasn't a good place to be. As you say, God bless ALL the allied forces no matter what your nationality, it was a group effort and no one force would have done it on there own.
