  • Just got Lasik yesterday

All I can say is WOW!

I was very nearsighted...contact prescription was -4.75 left, -4.5 right with astigmatism both eyes...couldn't see the big E, and sometimes needed help finding my glasses.

This morning I was 20/15.....unbelievable. The procedure was painless and quick...but initially I felt like I was in the movie Hostel, they use suction to pull your eyeball out and make the initial cut....kinda weird feeling. They gave me a stuffed Tigger to squeeze while in surgery...I think I killed him. Highly recommend this for anyone.

Congratulations. Jennifer had that done a few months ago as well. She had to get the PRK procedure that takes a few more days to heal but she has had no problems. Definitely worth it and I'm sure in the long run you will save more money not having to buy glasses/contacts/contact cleaner/etc.

It has to be a weird feeling to wake up in the morning and actually be able to see.

Man, it was weird....I feel like I have alien binoculars implanted in my eyes!

There were 3 people getting the PRK in front of me...the doc said the weird thing about the PRK is that your vision is awesome right after surgery, but gets worse then better again?

Last night I was pretty blind, but this morning was unbelievable. I'm just kinda dry and scratchy. The steroid drops you use feel like they are made out of napalm the first couple of time you use them.

I had it done over 10 years ago and still going strong. Does not help the reading. But I required the copius amount of drugs they administer to let them burn my eyeballs with a laser.

Yeah, that's how her PRK was. She was fine that day but the next three or four days she was in pain and her vision came and went.

              Hey Mein,

Actually kinda worried about that, because now I don't have too many excuses left....but my Mossberg stock is a little too long, so maybe that will work! hehehe...

BTW, I'm prolly going to pick up a shooter quality Browning A-5 and have it camo dipped, as I have fantasies of using my Mossberg for a fencepost...

I hear mossbergs make great fence posts. I shot one for one season, that was enough.
                Now the browning, ...nice gun!
