Fellas, let me tell ya about my Friday and Saturday. Got a call at work that my oldest had shot his first solo buck. Proud of his patience and hard work. Made it home in time to help my dad and son gut and hang the deer. Went into the house and cut up some choice pieces of meat for breakfast and grab a shower, terrible allergy to deer dander. Then Bam!!! Dad called. He had gone on the roof to get a toy that had flown up there. As he turned to walk back off, it's a bank house no need for a ladder to get on the back, he took three steps. Two on the roof, and one right off the side... 15 ft straight down. He hit the ground, full force, on his right leg. Knee obliterated. Then he fell over and broke his left hand...he's a guitar picker, pretty bummed. Let's just say, the next several hours were rough. From the first hospital, to the 1 1/2 hr ride to the next hospital, then surgery. You gotta be thankful for your health. Dad always said,"if I didn't hurt, I wouldn't know I was alive" today, he said he never really knew what hurting was. Be careful out there! Thanks for letting me vent.
