Works RD, on another super fantastic make your buddies jealous vacation again? Let me guess, argo trip to Key West and participating in the annual Lion fish round up from the argo.If this is you spear fishing all joking aside I am envious. Those fish are very invasive, a menace to native marine life and apparently very good eating. Looks like you may have joined the ranks of the only predator those fish have.

Yes, we are back at our place in Mexico for a while, these are Lion Fish, and as Trevor mentioned, they are invasive. The little buggers will eat anything they can fit into their mouths, and have no predators. They are very good eating, similar to Walleye, but don't get stuck by one of those fins, or your headed to the hospital.
That is me taking chances down there, but since the sport combines 3 of my favorite things; Hunting, Fishing, and Diving, it's all good. Of course it would be better if I could incorporate AATV's, I just havnt figured out how yet.

Very cool. Some folks pay big bucks to put one of those in a marine aquarium and you're putting them on a plate! Of course, the folks who'd pay the big bucks are also the ones that were not-so-smart enough to introduce them into native waters. I've heard the taste is mild; something like a fresh water perch. Is that so? I've not been silly enough to ever have been stung, but I've witnessed it (young fish) and it looked like a painful ordeal, but no one went to the hospital. I'm assuming a big one would kick one's butt. You need to come to one of the rides with a cooler full of fillets!Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
