this was me last summer a GFT (ganderflighttraining) i completed 6 hours in both Cessna 150 and 172 with the glass cockpit instruments which was really neat! pictures of me and my instructor after my "solo" with the pilot with me but he never touched the controls at all,he was impressed.

I wish I had taken advantage of the opportunity to learn to fly. My uncle was the FBO at the Frederick, Maryland municipal airport for many years. He and my aunt invited me to spend the summer with them, work at the airport and learn to fly, but like an idiot I stayed on the farm that summer. I envy you!

Congratulations on your training. Do you plan on pursuing your Private Pilots license?

You can always just throw a 6x6 transmission in the plane and have the best of both worlds:

I've been flying since 1965 with more hours than I like to think about. Early on an old Army instructor told me: "Lieutenant, there are old pilots and bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots." He was right.

i plan on having my own plane but not a commercial pilot!

you should look into a commercial, I work overseas Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa (cant say where in Africa) you only work 6 months a year and make MUCH more than people working a year in the states. some places it will be easy to get 100 hrs a month twin turbine, and some companies you only need 250 hrs total with no twin to get hired and they will train...............Just a thought. good for you, you should be proud.
