Getting real anxious, I have all these new parts getting delivered every day or so, but can't work on my machine because my wheelchair has been out for repairs. It's like Christmas everyday when the mail lady goes, then I jus sit and look at my parts and look out the window at my max ii that's been slowly filling with rain water because I didn't get to cover my machine back up when my chair decided to break down. Hopefully next week I can get to tearing this thing apart, cleaning, welding, painting, wiring, bearings, and all the other fun stuff I read about you guys dealing with in restoring these. I'm probably just going slime or tube my old dry rotted tires for now, they are the last expensive part of my project. I can't wait to get back wrenching on this, this past two weeks really put me behind where I wanted to be at this point, I'm really hoping to have it buttoned up enough to make archery season this year. I'm thinking it should only be cosmetic stuff by then to deal with, like the aluminum bed I'm planning in my head, I'm going to bend up some diamond plate aluminum for the bedsides, but have them follow the factory body shape to the back where it will just be flat where my tailights mount, the inside of the bed will either be smooth aluminum or possible hdpe for the bed floor not totally decided on that yet. Since the upper is already cut and I need to make a new bed I'm going to just leave it so the body is two pieces, much easier to remove my upper for service and repairs from my chair. The bed floor is going to be removable to make checking fluid and plugs and just giving a quick glance at everything easier. I'm hoping I can get the bends right on my bedsides so it looks right, in my head it looks great lol. Well I guess that's my babbling for the day. Thanks for all the great information and help, also for having me as part of the community. Can hardly wait to run my max. Although I'm not sure which I like more, the work to get what I want or the reward when I'm done?

There's some private ground and rausch creek is about an hour and a half north of me yet, they're a public off road park. Yeah Winchester isn't far at all my wife's family is from Richmond so we pass through that area on the way to visit them. I have a good buddy in Roanoke named Doug roach idk if you might know him and his family or not, theyre into high po cars and mud trucks. But yeah I'm into it, when I'm done we should get some riding in, I'd love to see that monster max ii in person.DanW
