  • A "Dad moment"

So my 13yo son and I are changing the transmission fluid on my MAX II Dec 20th. I needed his help in jacking up the front of the AATV to drain the T-20.
Well, the transmission fluid is running like mollasses in January because it is so damn cold out, offering us a number of oportunities to stand and stare at the dribbleing brown Hershey's syrup looking transmission fuild. When I go and replace the drain-plugs and start to refill the T-20 with the new transmission fluid my son asked me if "I was putting the right stuff in there" since the cherry cough syrup looking transmission fluid looked nothing like the crap we poured out. I had to laugh, I take for granted that everyone knows what good tranmission fluid looks like. It is the little things in life.

I think it's awesome that you involve your son in the maintenance as well as the fun
I'm looking forward to the day when my kids are old enough to help. They do try right now, and it doesn't take all that much longer when they do help (unless they start dropping pieces). It will sure be nice when their help actually makes the job go faster.
