  • BIG TRAK 70's toy

When I was a kid I got one of these for x-mas. It was the coolest toy. A six wheeler you would program to move. About three years later, my dad bought an amphicat at an auction...and I was finally able to drive my big trak. Check out this video

Wow, that is a cool toy!!! Interesting trailer design also. Be hard on your head though. lol

Just curious, how do you program it. Is it like go forward for 6 inches, turn 90 degrees...blah blah............ Or how is it?

      ......long time ago

If i remember you would say forward or back in lengths (1 foot) turning was done in degrees left or right . shoot laser. pause (seconds) dump trailer etc. I remember knowing exactly how to get it to go to my dad's lazy boy and drop him off a beer from in the kitchen....and we think kids are lazy now!!

He He, Beer Wagon? Jimmy was tossing a large New Bright (Junkie) R/C, but we decided since 2 beers fit nicely in the bed, it's a good "Fetch" vehicle. Of Course we need someone to load it

I had seen this thing onces as a child and now as grown up (ok no realy ) i bought on on ebay. Damn cool toy even it is so many years old. There was a site in the web where robot enthusiasts hack the on board computer and where you could find the user manual for download.
I think it was this site.
Robot Room - Inside the Big Trak
The bad points are that only one axle is driven, its not amphibious and sadly i dont fit inthere .
