That's actually a Russian T-34. I was captured by the Germans during a battle. That's why it had German insignia on it. Apparently it fell through the ice during a retreat and was left there by the Germans.
This story is a few years old. From what I heard, the tank was so well preserved that the ammo was still dangerous and that the tank was able to be push started only a few days after recovery.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
