This is not your average Infra-red camera!

We had a guy come out to our stations, and use a FLIR Camera to look for Natural Gas leaks. VERY Cool camera, calibrated to look for Gas leaks, Propane leaks, ect. The camera has a little cooling system that takes the internal temp of the camera down to about -300 DegF. Camera costs about $130,000 at this point, but I have hopes that the price will drop in the future.

The guy said he can see a mouse under about 3 feet of snow, from 50yrds away LOL

Anyway, not really AATV related but still cool.

Sorry to be so juvenile, but seeing the FLIR and 'gas leak' reminded me of this video

Must have been one of the guys i work with
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
