Well boys, I’ve learned a little lesson about not listening closely to my wife ,
My wife was in the kitchen doing some baking while I was watching the hockey game ,she asks if I will go to the store quickly and get some stuff ,I said “no problem, just give me a list” ,she writes the items down and hands me the list, I read the list as she was walking back to the kitchen ,1 jug milk, 1 bag sugar, 1 can etsen ,1 ketchup ,etc. and a bunch of other stuff ,when I got to the esten I hollered at her “what the heck is esten” ,as she was about to answer the Flames scored and the cheers and noise coming from the tv kinda drowned her out but I did hear something about yeast ,well she is baking so of course she needs yeast ,so I trott off to the store gather up the goodies on the list ,then I head off to the baking section and start looking for a yeast called esten , I spent 20 minutes scanning the shelves and couldn’t find it ,then a little old lady comes into the isle , I think to myself “perfect she’ll know what this stuff is, she’s been baking forever” so I approach her and ask if she knows where I could find it ,she starts scanning the shelves too, and then says “I don’t know of any yeast called esten” so I said “it must come in a can of some sort , because the list says 1 can” she pauses for a short time as she continues scanning the shelves and then looks up at me with this wide eyes and a big grin and says let me see the list , she reads the list and says “oh my ,you need to go to the pharmacy for that” WHAT why would I need to go to the pharmacy for yeast ,she responds “it is not esten it is Canesten “. I’m shocked “what the heck is that” ?? the little old lady laughs at me and says “it is for a yeast infection not for baking” I have this stunned look on my face ,she knew that I had no idea what she was talking about so she goes on to say “it’s a woman thing just go to the pharmacy and ask the lady their”
Well needless to say next time I’ll listen more closely to the wife LOL
