holy crap!we had an earthquake!

ok so i sneak away from work early.was sitting at my computer enjoying the AC in the house when suddenly the house started to shake.damn dishes were rattling in cupboard and i thought the china cabinet was gonna topple over.turns out there was a 5.5 earthquake just east of ottawa in quebec.thats only the 3rd time i felt a tremor here in central ontario and todays was a beauty.

I heard it could be felt down in Michigan too. What time was it? Something strange happened about 11isham this mourning. Lights flickered. Was weird. We have been having storms so I guessed it was from a storm further away.

happened around 1:45pm.now a little town northwest of me had a tornado.whats the odds of an earthquake and a tornado in the same day?weird stuff indeed.

We felt it in the suburbs of Detroit, I was at work and have an office on the fourth floor of a 4 story building and was rocked gently back and forth in my cube chair for about 15 seconds. Pretty cool, didn't know what it was at first, thought it might have been a bad thunderstorm that we were expecting, didn't know it was an earthquake until someone heard it on the news. My first one.

Like madmax said, people felt it in Buffalo and across upstate NY. Then we had horrible downpours for half and hour, and then a tornado warning. Crazy, crazy weather!

We get those 5.x all the time. 7 gets weird (even 80 miles away) Mom turned the tables on me sending me a text about an earthquake so I replied that PA was going to fall in to Lake Erie. Careful of the weather. My flight back had some turbulence and lightning - I though I was jumping a springer for a second.
