  • Ride the duck?

I did the tourist thing the other day in Branson Mo. The tour was nice and the DUKW was a neat machine. It was pretty fast in the water too, compared to an aatv.
I know they have come up on ebay before so I did a search. Some guy has 4 of them right now for a mere $100k each OUCH. I guess I'll pass.

Your not the only one watching those things. For that money though, you could build a huge fleet of 6 and 8 wheelers that you could do tours with. I believe the commercial aspect is the only reason those things cost so much. Really I would think 30K would be a fair price.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Just don't forget the drain plugs.. they sunk one of those in Arkansas a few years ago, with loss of life. Not that I have any room to talk about drain plug vigilance.

The recent tragedy was due to a fire on board, the dukw was turned off and while drifting it was run over by a barge.
        Didn't someone see it coming?

Ummmmmm, Hydromike and I were planning on taking some of our machines for a swim in Lake Ontario. Hope those crazy tug boat captains aren't too juiced up when we're out on the water.
