Had lots a fun past week.

Hey everyone,
I took a 10 day vacation over in California. Went to SD Zoo, went to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Baileys Circus, did some beach exploring at a tide pool where there is lots of cool critters, toured the midway aircraft carrier, 3 days near Yosemite national park with a few hikes to some sequoia trees, bristle cone pine(oldest living thing-4000yrs) and some great views of mountains and lakes. Was busy everyday. Great fun. Lucky to have a great father and mother in law who supported the whole thing or I would have never been able to go! I took over 350 pictures and videos of the trip but here a a few. I dont have the videos uploaded on youtube yet but will post back when do. I did an awesome video of a lake. Sorta walk around style but just standing there.

Outstanding Larry!!!!! I know you had fun at the SD zoo. Been there many times when i was stationed in San Diego. Was stationed at MCRD San Diego for a little ove 2 years.
Sounds like you had a great vacation. Look forward to seeing the pictures and videos.

Here are some videos of the lakes we hiked to. The 3rd lake is 5.5 mile hike with an elevation of 10,400ft. Trail head is 8000' so its a climb. Wasn't to bad but the flatter spots sure felt nice. Sure was a fast hike back though, lol.

Not sure how these guys dont crash. Was cool to watch!

btw, while I was out looking at cactus in an arid landscape I was thinking, this is everyday stuff for you two.


I just thought of another funny story my wife had. She went south in California when we went north on the hike. There is some ranch there that lets you ride horses. She was riding on the beach and the horse rolled. She got off and was ok and laughing but she couldnt get back on the tall horse. I guess border patrol stopped to help her up, lol.
