  • New Garage-Starting tomorrow.

The truck came to deliver the pieces, the crew will be there in the morning. I should have a roof and walls by next weekend. The floor and garage doors are up to me so it may take a month or so to get it ready to fill with projects. I will be able to store my camper in it for the winter along with all my other projects.
Building size:42 x 50 x 14. I am contracting Morton Buildings to build it for me.

Of course I'll be posting pictures of the progress.

WOW. Lance your wife gets the garage back. That's a milestone but you promised to give her the old garage when you built the last new one.

Day one of actual construction resulted in 22 laminated 6x6 (3-2x6s) set into holes and filled with concrete. The holes on the sides of the building that support the main trusses are 24" diameter, 5'6" deep. The holes on the gable ends are 18" diameter, 4'6" deep. It's rated to withstand a 90 MPH wind gust. Next week I get walls and a roof!

Morning of day #2. I went to work a little late to see them get started. It should be framed and trussed by the time I get home.
