Thank you all so much. Treb and I both appreciate it so much. This dog traveled with me everywhere! I would bet he has more miles under his fur than most people travel in a lifetime! He went to every rodeo and barrel race, and if he could not go, then Treb made sure that he got to go for a good ride in the Argo while he waited for me to come home!! There will never be another dog who could measure up to him in my eyes! He was totally devoted to me, and I to him.. Again, thank you so much for your kind thoughts.

Sorry to hear about your boy, my hound in his prime was a 140 lb black lab, he is now 13 yrs and down to about 90 lbs ,doubt he will make it another summer, I owned his mother and he was with me from the day he was born and smaller than the palm of my hand, the day he goes it's gonna RIP my heart to pieces, I know that you feel the same about your ole boy.
He who has not cruised the back country in a 6x6 , has not lived life to it's fullest

Hey man i hate to hear you lost your compadre. Chow- Chow is ten years old now & she is really starting to slow down. I am not looking forward to her passing but i know it is coming. She is the best natured chow dog i have ever seen.

Sorry for your loss. It's been a little over three years since I lost Sammy, my old man. I still think of him every day. The memories will last a lifetime. Again, sorry for the loss.

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

Really sorry to hear about your loss, I had to have our Toy Rat Terrier (Bitsy-short for Itsy Bitsy) put to rest the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, after almost 15 years. But I have a wealth of good memories, she was a great squirrel dog, even though she wasn't much bigger than some of the critters she so faithfully treed for the kids, my hunting buddies, and I. Equally at home in the woods, or beside me in my easy chair. Sorely missed...

Cute. You'll need to get some 9th Infantry patches for them. That was Whipper's unit, too. Only Forrest got shot in the buttocks a few years before Whipper got there.
