Ever see a CR500AF? Wrip about 40 pounds off of the stock steel CR frame and replace with aluminum.
Are you really so upset with someone that you want to sell them an untamed, deadly weapon?

Mike I just haven't got the nerve for it anymore..call it an age thing I guess, reflexes are gone. still open to trades..wonder if it would fit in a 950???Originally posted by hydromike View PostYou ain't kidding. Still one of the meanest dirtbikes ever conceived. The CR500 and the KX500 were like strapping a JATO between your legs and lighting the wick.

OH MAN. If I hadn't just bought a truck I'd be in the process of ignoring the "you'll KILL yourself" voices while driving out your way for it. This is there with the LT500R and the Mach Z 809 in the list of ultimates for me........

My friend has a 1986 CR500 and that thing is a rocket, and that's putting it mildly! I've seen some you tube clips of them running the 1/4 mile with 10 second times. Two strokes are soooooo much fun!"Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

I don't think you've lost your nerve, I'm betting it's more like you've gained wisdom...Unlike you I haven't learned yet, but between my fused neck & my arthritis, I think I'm on the path to enlightenment...

guess what came back home...yep, my worst nightmare is back again 1988 honda cr 500r is up for grabs, poor guy rode it around a 44 acre track for about 15 minutes and backed out on the deal...as I , it has scared him to death!!! for sale or trade will drop price to 1250.00, what I was letting him have it for, or trade for any hustler stuff of equal value, will entertain a project maxIV, or swap for just about anything that won't top out over a 100 mph on dirt>>>all are welcome to come test ride. pay up your health insurance, just in case...Last edited by fasteddiesllc; 08-02-2011, 05:46 PM. Reason: wanted to mention insurance/pics from gallery

Mike I have tried to figure out how to place it in a 950...food for thought...the only draw back is how to start it, it is a kick only, therefore when placed in the buggy there would be no room to kick this high compressioned monster...push starting is an absolute out of the question affair.. it wouldn't bother me in the slightest to yank its heart out and put it in something "a bit safer" if there is such a thing with this , as you call deathwish.....
