Cisco is killing the Flip Camera

I just read where Cisco is killing the Flip. It.s a shame they are not selling the Co. The excuse is the new Phones have the same features. Personally I think Cisco is nuts. I really like my Flip HD. Maybe they will dump the price and Ill get one for each of my AATV's.

that's kind of old news. I really like my hd flip too, but I tend to use my phone more often due to the fact that I can post to youtube right after recording. I think the real downside is losing the flip software. My suggestion is to switch to a mac and use apples video editing software.

I didn't see a post on the Forum and a lot of us use them mounted to our machines. I don't think Id want to mount my IPhone to my roll bar and run through the mud and try and get an hour or so of video.

Spot on Jersey, my Flip has taken a beating and still works great. Man that is a bummer! Guess we just have to run untill distruction and in the mean time look for a replacement.

I made mention of it in the apple friendly thread that castro started. Just get the insurance on your iphone. Everything will be alright when you end up upside down in a lake. Thats covered under apples warrenty right?

I just picked up a ATC9K Oregon Scientific ATC9K Action Camera - Helmet Cam Central Iam still playing with it when I get some good videos I'll post them. Cougar

They just need to incorperate wifi in the flip and it would be awesome. I hate that I can't just upload it wirelessly.
