this was taken the other day guys, however, ive done a little bit of modification to the lift mechanism. seems as though there was WAY to much weight on the lift rod for me to operate it as i had planned. so..i had to re think the "locking" process for it. i now have it pretty well figured out. It locks in place and works rather well! i pushed a little bit of snow with it yesterday. lol just for a trial run! i need to take more pictures though and show how i ran the exhaust, and my plain jane looking trailer hitch i made for it. i also installed a kill switch in that 5/8 hole right infront of the seat. its a momentary push button switch, which works well for the kill switch in my opinion. the plow also needs cleaned up, and then painted but that least of my worries right now. i still need to make a hood cover for it though..so ill need to dig up a piece of metal for that.

I remember seeing these things advertised in the back of Popular Mechanics, etc. (Do they still make these??) Always wondered if they were all they were cracked up to be. Sure looks like a neat little toy. It came with a couple of neat hook-ups, too. Did you buy it for a specific purpose (snow removal), 'cause you always wanted one, or just to have another rig to tinker back together? You've made nice progress. Keep up the good work. Let's see some pics of it in action when you're through.

Harry, Yup they still make em..however, their ALOT more money now, and pre-built when you get them. No more kit to put together.. I'm only 26, and never found out about them till bout 5 years ago. ever since then, i HAD to have one. i finally landed one that was cheap so i snagged it! it came with a mower deck and sickle bar. (look on first page of this thread for the link to ALLL the pictures) Alot of the guys i work with laughed their freaking heads off when i showed them pictures..mainly cuz we work on Heavy equipment Every day of our lives. Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, Terex (<--junk) etc. One of the older gentleman that works with us said "hey, i remember those...i used to sit in my dads garage reading about them in popular mechanics!!" I did sell the mower deck for it..i dont intend on mowing with it..boy that would mess up what little grass i do have. lol i did keep the sicle bar though. I wanna try it out on the brush i got around here and see how it works. As for the snow/dirt blade. it works. it wont push no great big amount of dirt..i mean..i wont be opening my own strip job or nuttin, but it'll do what i want. fix up the drive way, maybe level some spots in my yard? Its more of a project/toy/conversation piece. One thing for sure, its an attention getter. lol The Cat Dealer donated a case of yellow paint for my resto, and alot of ppl were more than willing to help out in any way they could. I did a complete restoration on it for the most part...only thing i havent replaced is the track chain or grouser pads. Pads because they dont make em anymore, and chains because it'll cost 600 bucks in chain to get enough for both sides. lol OuCh!! Once i get alll the bugs worked out and get it wrapped up, ill deff post videos!! lol I got the grizzly adams beard thing going on right now, so ill deff put on a show. lol
