Yah, sounds like things are alot more pricey up there by sounds of it..lol I can get a 22slice pizza pie and a 2 liter of pepsi, delivered here for under 20 bills. So i'd have to say the price of living is a little more in that neck of the bush.

Do not know if I am in a good place in life or not. At 43 years old, I have been retired for the past 4 1/2 years. Just teach first aid and CPR on the side to keep me as busy as I want to be at the moment. Not sure if I will go back to work full time or not. To many choices out there to choose from and not sure if I like any of them at this point in my life.
Can live a comfortable life the way I am now. Made some good choices early in life that have given me what I have now.
Things here in Newfoundland can be expensive for some items and now to bad for others.
Wife and I went out to Swiss Chalet a few weeks back and I had 1/2 rack ribs and 1/4 chicken and she had 1/4 chicken, each had dessert and a pop and cost $60.00. Not to bad I guess.
If things get any worse then MAYBE I will think about going back to work.....Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

it could be easy to start an investment company with 10 or 20 people each to invest 10000.00 and purchase a revenue generating property like an apartment building etc. The property builds equity and with rent collected to pay the rest of the mortgage, then use building as equity to make other investments. It can be run as equal share holders and everyone decides as a team on strategy and what and how to invest. I think a small group of people could end up doing great things.Last edited by azz7772; 02-19-2012, 11:56 PM.
