Haha, boncrshr you hit the nail right on the head with that one! When I go up to Vermont to visit one of my friends from college there are always those VW hippy vans going about 15mph up the huge winding mountain roads. I'd imagine that the air cooled VW engine is really struggling to push that huge payload of refer in the van up those hills.

My beetle ran 25gal of shine up through the hills with no problem! I was running a bit larger than stock motor. I did the blueprinting, and my friend did the machine work + tranny rebuild. He's probably the best in his field!
