Radio just said it is 99 with 87% humidity and with the heat index it feels like 108. And this is Nebraska.

it has not rained here in 30 or more days that is the only reason humidity is only 14% normal is 90s high humidity. The ground is so hard it's like drive the 6x6 on pavement

            Ouch,
I think it snowed just up the highway from my place a couple days ago.
85-90F is a pretty hot day for us up here.

            Take it easy down there

We're use to that HOT stuff, but we also remember the 99 deg 87% humidity stuff. You've got it much tougher than we do, Marshgunner. Hard to function in that kind of heat.

I took off work this week to work on my hustlers, should've checked the weather, the 96 - 100 degree heat was ok the first two days but hell i aint 25 no more. The last two days have been spent recovering from this louisiana heat !

Bruce,, nothing is as bad as Iraq in full battle rattle, or even a MOPP suit in that type of heat. I know you don't miss those days at all!!

True around here it very humid most of the time as we are a river city. I hear people say in the desert it's not humid so you don't feel as hot. BS my gun turret was like a micowave it was open top if I touched my M2 "50 cal" you could burn your skin I had to cover my ammo if we stopped for long it would get very hot and I did not want 50cal rounds cooking off at face level but like all humans we got use to it. Plus the heavenly view of the stars at night made it worth while

Sooo true, me too, i've experienced that. My Mod Duece was always like that, and with the fact that i had the "Old WWII style gun mount" , which was all steel, added to the heat. How about having to change from half finger gloves to full fingered gloves because you can feel the sun burning thru your fingernail.. Now thats hot.
