Wow, she's a big one & she looks like she's full of babies ready to pop. I hate them.
Good thing you knew that they make messy webs, so you knew to check things out.

Looks like a perfect job for a size 11 vermin elimination tool. The tool also works on door to door salesmen and religeous door bell ringers...scares the pamphlets right out of thier hands.

Yes I have. My employees call them "customers" and they always seem to interrupt me when I am working on my 6x6.

Have you ever had "someone" show up at your shop, both uninvited and unannounced, who you just absolutely did not want, or welcome to be there? Well, that just happened to me. I had, just minutes ago, been right here on the forums, and decided it was time to go work on the rebuild. So, off I go to the shop, get the jawhorse out, rig up a wire cup brush on the grinder and then I noticed her web, just to the right of the door, right below the light switch, near the floor. Now there are SOME things that I would rather not have visit my shop, like the red wasps who fatally decided to make a home high up on the ceiling. And I don't really mind the occasional snake(which hasn't yet happened), those just never have bothered me. But THIS UNWELCOME 002.jpg I WILL NOT tolerate.

UNWELCOME 001.jpg Even though you can't see the web which is holding these leaves off the floor it is what alerted me to the presence of the black widow seen above. Knowing how to recognize their webs has helped me kill dozens of them here.
