Pike on a Fly Rod (Vid)

My FIL gave me an old Fly Rod, so I brought it out to try to hammer a few Pike and Walleye. I must say, it worked very well and was a lot of fun.

I was just looking at the other thread with all the pics and I'm on to you, I see you are chumming the water with children to lure in the pike and walleye. that technique is considered illegal down here in the states.

Hahahaha, well like I tell the wife "The fun part is makin the children anyway", and you know what they say.... Pike will take a lure 2/3 it's own body size


That's a good friend pitching my daughter out of his boat, it was hot out and the kids were having a blast playing with him. At the time I was running back out to my truck to pick up another load.

Nice pike RD! Releasing everything we won't eat was always as good as the catch.
