Wanted to give everyone an update on Brian (Blue Shark Attex) He is fine, hit his leg pretty hard on the dashboard and it bruised up really fast. The paramedics wanted him to get an Xray to make sure it wasn't broken (due to how quick it bruised). Xray was negative and he walked out of the emergency room. I know there was a lot of concern about the seat belt getting caught in the chain. Were 100% sure that happened when the track crew pushed the machine off the track. First thing he said when we left the hospital was "Can we get the machine fixed in time for Latrobe?"...He'll be back.

Thanks to all who looked after our stuff while we were at the hospital and the storm was threatening. Hope to see everyone in Latrobe in a couple weeks.

He had us worried Bob. We are all glad he is ok and ready to get back to his aggressive driving on the track!

That's great news, Bob; we all had Brian in our thoughts & prayers.. Good to see it didn't change his mind about racing! See you in Latrobe.

Wow, what a great event. I think the total number of machines registered to race was 308. I think we put on a great show with a couple rollovers, a couple crashes and some great driving on a VERY slippery track. Bud and crew were out with the broom, the roller and the water truck getting the track in good shape just before we ran each time. It was tough to stay on the track in most of the turns, but it made for a pretty great ride. They had a radar gun set up on the end of the straightaway (right at the entrance to the sweeper) so the riders and nearby spectators could see what the track top speeds were. I was able to hit 45 in the D/stock which I consider pretty good since it was tough to keep her going straight on the slippery track. I think the top speed of the weekend was either 72 or 79mph. The quad guys were incredibly gutsy and had some incredible machines.

The pits were packed and the races went on for hours and hours.... I had a lot of good luck with the old war horse D/stock and everybody else seemed to do just fine after we all tried to deal with the heat. I kept goofing up my GoPro but got some video of the first two-stroke stock heat race and the two-stroke stock feature that I'll try to post soon.

Thanks to Bud and crew again, a huge thanks to Dave G. for all of his efforts in bringing this all together and thanks just as much to all the racers who are working hard to get out to these events and try to make this all work.

Bumpkin Battle 2015! How late were you guys racing Dave? With the 10-15 lap feature races it seemed that they were going to go on for quite some time, and I know you guys were just about last.

Our race started at 7:23 pm! We left there at 8:30 and got home at 1:30 am. That was a long day! The only bummer was that about 90% of the racers had left and didn't get to see us run.

They raced just after 7. I was home at 8:30 and stayed to watch the springer race and talk to the guys before I left.

Wish we could've stayed to see it! Even leaving when we did it was a late night.

Great pictures so far; can't wait to see the video footage.

Yesterday reminded me of the old days I experienced (the 80's) so much. Jet skis in the lake, hare scrambles and track racing at the same time, 3,4 and 6 wheeled machines (so many 3 wheelers again now!) and even including a few 2 wheeled events. We had to park in the field due to arriving Sunday only with all of the machines. It was cool to have Tru-Way 4 and 6 wheelers together again and see my cousin race quads for the first time in 25 years and his kids running their first races. I was also happy to at least complete 2 stroke modified even with only a rear drive wheel on one side and questionable head gasket (I wondered why the machine wanted to point towards he flagger instead of where I wanted to go trying to get off the track). Stoked on the 6x6 turnout and crowd response for sure. Was a great time!

Had a great weekend! I think we represented ourselves well, we had a pretty good turnout. I wish we could have stayed but I'm glad that we left when we did. Got home, just finished unloading everything and it rained for almost three hours right after. Great picture of the Bumpkins! I'm sure it was a great race!
