    yes there were finishers.

Unfortunately I DNF after swamping the engine in the second water hole in the creek. The A stock was was running pretty well up to that point.

I could have continued after the first lap, but the likely not-so-water-tightness of the RIM and some sputtering/backfiring starting half way through the first lap had me reconsider. Also kind of glad we got loaded before the clouds of doom unleashed... I think I'm a bit hooked and may need to try to make some covers for the air filters/seal the clutch "box" for next time.

great times as always thanks to bud, bill and mr. and mrs. little g for hosting a special and fun packed weekend.
great food people and times. what a nice bunch of fanatics we all make together.
the hare scramble track this year was sweet and well laid out. even tho i was not racing lol... i waited for everyone to start and then i pulled up to the line
and told little g i would not get in anyones way. haha!! it was so fun.. hills, turns bumps and mud holes with a lap around the track.. i ended up finishing fifth in my stock super chief. ... and yes i was all smiles. thanks again everyone!!

            Thanks

We're all happy when we're riding (or racing), but that ear-to-ear grin is trademark James Gerber. Don't ever lose it!

That's what we saw, talking to Little G after I dropped out and discussing how Dad could have ran my Max 503, just with the roll bar and a helmet... then there comes James up out of the woods with neither (later determined to be not part of the race) lol.

lol... for what its worth i did have a helmet on. lots of fun but i was not using a harness or roll bar. i was not setting a very good example
for the younger and up and coming 6x6ers. next year i will watch the hare scramble or have the proper safety equipments. but i was just joy riding.

That's why we assumed; just moving the machine from one place to the other on level ground, at a safe speed, or lost driver/ATV parts reconnaissance assistance mission

The roll bar was sitting back at camp on the other machine.
