Oh, yeah; the new track is great, even though I miss the off-camber turn, and Bud is still puffing his chest out over Two-stroke Mod.

Great weekend!!!
Thanks, Little G, Bud, Shawn, Billy, and everybody else that made the NEEDT weekend work. The weather didn't completely cooperate, but it worked out and all the races happened, unlike another weekend we won't mention. Great to see everyone again: can't wait for Hamlin! I pledge that the Mighty Mouse will be there to chase Marc & Matt around once again.
Just a note: Dave G. doesn't get nearly the credit he deserves. He ran his butt off all weekend and made sure the ragtag group of amphib riders got to the starting line on time, straightened out half a dozen "misunderstandings", and kept things running as smooth as can be expected when there are 30-year-old machines and tempersmental drivers to deal with. Hat's off to you, Dave.
Don
On another note, thanks to everyone that helped to try to keep me on the track this weekend. I have been thinking about it and it may be time to take the A stock out back and put it out of its misery. I am looking forward to Hamlin but not sure what I am bringing yet. Stay tuned. Don, keep bringing those tools!!!"Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting."

Dad and I are home and unloaded. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. There's nothing like picking up vintage treasure on the way to the races, then spending the weekend relaxed under the awning. We even scored extra cookies at KFC!
Dave earned a trophy. He kept us from either waiting an hour at the starting line, or missing the race.
I'm still recovering from the whoopin' Mark gave me in his Hustler!sigpic

Even though team Bumpkin had a tough weekend, a blown engine in one Springer and a blown tranny in the other, we had a blast. Bud, Mike and crew did an outstanding job on the new track and everything ran smoothly. A special thanks to Bud for loaning me a transmission from his shop so we could still run and all the fellow racers who helped us get the machines back on the track. It is truly an honor to be part of this racing family.

congrats to Bud for beating me in 2 stroke mod he has been nipping at my heals for sometime now.
Also watch out for the new and up coming Derek Brinks, he seems to be finding his groove.

Wow! What a track. love the new 6x6 friendly jumps. Maybe miss the bowl but not the Polish turn. Thanks Bud and Fisher clan for getting the track ready and working a great event. Thanks to David G for keeping the 6x6's on schedule and his behind the scenes efforts. Thanks Sean and NE EDT for giving us a the opportunity to show off our vintage style of ATV racing. Brad im glad the 550 I sold your dad came in handy and you had the opportunity to race on Sunday. Don, hopefully you can repair the "R" and the new pipe works out. I swear it sounds like my old Kawasaki with the pipe.Acta non verba

Doing my thing for Bud to get you guys on the track when needed doesn't leave me a lot of time in the pits to help out like Brad said he pretty much knows my tool box and what I have but it is great to see everyone work together and help each other out as much as possible even though I didn't race I gotta admit its my 2nd day of recovery I am pretty much crippled yet but I am finally coherent enough to do this for anyone following these guys hear are the current point standings

Anyone that can come out to Hamlin Pa in September even just as spectators should do it cause looking at this points list its gonna be some serious racing with these guys going for there championships and they need all the support they can get I am really hoping that next year we can get a few more racers out here This sport is only going to be around as long as we have people to do it I got asked. Over the weekend by several people how come two years ago we had 28 machines on the line for one class and now we have 6 I said I don't know I understand people are busy or its too far for some races but the only answer I have is I don't know I can say though it is a shame that all these race machines that asked for more races never get to make it out and if its my fault if I am not getting information out in time please let me know I try to keep everything posted up to date but with a little luck I will see you guys in Hamlin

I'm planning on Hamlin as of now with the Turd for 4 stroke, next year I should be more active and hopefully make most of the NEEDT stuff with the Turd and something slightly more aggressive. Schedule conflicts seem to be an issue this year, hopefully others will be free next year.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Yeah, I'll be needing a Rookie Stripe next year so as to not get run over.sigpic
