I will be there with the 4 stroke stock. Brad may bring a mod if it doesn’t need too much work.

Who's racing at Hamlin this weekend? I'll be there tomorrow afternoon, running A, D stock and mod. Bud will be there late, or maybe Saturday morning, running mod.

Got this on the Facebook site from Marc this is pertaining to the Hamlin Race this weekend.
Reminder this event will start earlier than some on this Saturday as originally scheduled. There is a late night curfew and also with any chance of weather the plan is to start early as was set when scheduling this round so we can work around any delays. Riders meeting at 830 with practice immediately after then into heats weather permitting.
Recommendation is to have all riders sign up Friday if possible. Registration forms are available in discussion in these events pages and also on our rule page on our website. Please print out and have completed prior to registration. I also have the link on hear to the registration forms.

Great! With both of you racing and Marc & George back in action, we should have a good group for "A".

Ran on the track yesterday and the back feels real good! I went to the doctor today and he says I should just race the A
and wait on the D
. It is a little disappointing but it is progress. Now the challenge is keeping my machine up and running for 5 laps. The only race that I have finished in the A in the past three years is Hamlin so fingers crossed!

I gonna get my D stock back out there just so I can protest and do a tear down on Dereks motor. We had a couple of unfortunate events that ended the weekend but sometimes you have to count your blessings. About 40 minutes from The the Morrish cabin on 17 west we had a blowout on the trailer. Pulled to a safe location and had the tire changed in 15 minutes. We decided to stop at the nearest exit to replace the spare at Tractor Supply and about a minute after pulling back on the highway from the blowout we heard another noise that didnt make sense but continued to the exit and at the end of the ramp we saw steam coming from the hood. Temp gauge moving up so we pulled into a parking lot at a vacant building next to a auto parts store which seamed lucky at the time. Opened the hood and it was quite obvious the water pump had failed seeing the fan was at an angle and antifreeze everywhere. Still optimistic that we could pull off the repair with the auto parts place across the street i decided to review a water pump repair vid on Youtube. Well so much for the onsite repair idea and decided to call AAA instead. George also call a friend of the family that lived nearby and arranged to pull the trailer and take us back to the cabin. So we were lucky that the pump failure happened where it did and not on some desolate part of 86. Sorry to have missed the race and hope everyone had a great time.Originally posted by countrybumpkin View PostThanks to Bud and crew and Dave G for a great weekend.
