Sorry to advise I will not make this grand event. Family projects and other work events made it impossible to repair the racer and prep for the race. This is a hard one to miss as I was at the Summer National in 1969. I wish everyone great and safe racing.

Marc, sorry to hear you won't make it, you'll be missed. Hope everything works out for you.
We will also miss George as he traverses the desert today.

I am in Dubois west bound and down.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
                  Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

This was everything or more than expected. Even though we spent about half of the time making some parts or making sure the Max was properly assembled, I think this was the most exciting even I've ever been to at the track. Don, we owe you an air filter.

Great weekend! I hope Bud, Billy and the rest of the crew at Pine Lake are able to finally relax today. G looked like he was ready to crash all day Sunday but kept going- thanks Dave. We didn't finish racing until dusk and loaded up in the dark, but it was worth the trouble, only drifted off to sleep (and off the road) a couple times on the way back. We didn't have the chance to get many pictures, but a couple of 4 stroke class and I'll post them today. Thanks to everyone involved- great time and a HUGE turnout; probably set a record for entrees and attendees that won't be broken.

The Mudd-Ox family had a blast this weekend. The track was alive with racers, spectators and vendor booths. It was straight out of the 70's. Quite a few of us never got to experience 6x6 racing in its glory days, and I am now fortunate enough to have seen it myself. This is an event that will never be repeated.

Shout out to the Fischers and David G for organization and keeping us informed of the race schedule. All the staff members worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was having a good time. Also special thanks to the Fischers for allowing us to resurrect their land-speed racer and display it at the track entrance.
