    Out riggers? I heard they were training wheels.

    Between all of us, we could really make one great race team! But then there'd be nobody to race against, so nix that idea.

    So what are the constraints on "Rookie Class", anyway? I've been in TWO officiated racing events. Ash 2009, and 2010.

    *I have extremely limited driving skills (watch the videos where I try to muscle through the turns and end up almost out in the rhubarb each time)

    *My machines rarely finish a race from a myriad of causes (broken bearing flanges, disintegrated piston, broken chain, bent axle, loose locking collars [all THIS year....] )

    *I can lead for a couple laps until the adrenaline/testosterone stew that's powering me starts leaking out of some unknown orifice (see lap 2.75 on the Apache Challange)

    *I tend to roll. A lot. Come to think of it, just about everybody I build cages for rolls. JP, GeoJem, me (TWICE this year!). Glad nobody gets hurt.

    *All of my machines are relatively experimental, untested concoctions of plastic, steel tubes, and engines selectively rebuilt with a gallon of penetrating oil, a propane torch, a sledge hammer and some old Molly Hatchet cassettes spinning in the background.

    I.... am a rookie.

    You guys crack me up!!!!!!!!!!
    Gee I didn't even know it fell off. Sorry about that. But it does give me an Idea. Look at the power you would save if you only drove the front and rear tires.

    You hit the nail right on the head with that one, Mike! Very well said.

    My gleaming personality usually overcomes the worst lies, once people meet me. George used to be the saaaaame way, but then he started racing.

    I miss the old George. The new George is a ferocious meat-eater, hungry for anything he can sink his springer-claws into, out of Turn 1.

    Well Mike, even with all the lies I tell my kids about you, they were still rootin' for you when you were on the track. I'm kinda scared to race with you because they'll still be rootin' for you :{
