I just checked his site and he has a 6x6 Rally posted for June 19th and 20th. What's the deal? I thought it was going to be the 25th 26th? If their has been a change? I won't be able to make it that week end. I've moved a lot of things around to have the 25th and 26th weekend free.

Okay, looks like Bill hasn't updated his site since last year. I hope that's the case.

Don't go by his site, Bud doesn't update it. He leaves it up to everyone here to promote it. The dates in this thread are correct.

Thanks to Bud Fischer of Fischer Cycle, the weekend of June 25-26th at Pine Lake raceway in Ashtabula, Ohio will mark the third consecutive year of six wheeler racing. Check out the pictures and videos from the last two years to see what it is all about:

        When
        June 25-26, 2011
        Saturday-Sunday

These are the official dates but just like last year Bud has graciously offered to open the gates to us even earlier. He said that you can show up any time that week to camp and still only pay for the weekend.

        Classes
Just like last year, the classes will depend on the number of people that show up and they will be decided once everyone arrives. Some of the previous classes that we have had were:

        Juniors
        Powder Puff
        Four Stroke Stock
        Four Stroke Modified
        Two Stroke Stock
        Two Stroke Modified
        Over 50 class

        Schedule
Friday - Set up camp and trail ride
Saturday - Test and tune on the track
        Sunday - Races

Note: There are no heat races this year. Since the heat races really didn't count for anything, Bud said he would just open the track for testing all day on Saturday and save the official racing for Sunday.

        Safety
This year's safety requirements are just like last years. You will need:

-At least a 3 point cage
        -Seat belts with shoulder harnesses
        -Helmets
I'm in but have a question about Safety, I can add the third bar for a 3 point cage but how do I add a shoulder harness to my Timex?
I know that the third point go's from my hitch to the roll-bar but cant seem to figure out the harness? I guss I'll have to make up a big mount and modify the body i installed to attach the harness out of my drag car. is that what others have dun?
I've looked all over for pictures of a max-II set up for racing and could only find one of the roll-bare.

I'm in and the gas price doesn't bother me at all.

Thanks Mike, now the hard part starts. Is a submarine belt required also? if not then I'll just call up Summit and order a new harness.

They're not required but still a good idea. Watching the videos I'm sure you noticed that some of the machines have a difficult time remaining upright.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

              (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

I doubt that they will put THAT much water on the track.

I heard that you guys may have to wear cups. O.K. O.K . I'm just kidding. Remember the guys wearing speedos request? ( I think that was racerone3sgirl idea. ) Well, THAT didn't happen.

So anyone revealing their stealth projects yet? It's time for the before the race trash talk to begin!!!

O.K. I really didn't think anyone was going to crack & reveal any stealth projects. I tried.

Anyone planning to try the track this year as a newbie? That's a safe question. It was a great surprise having 14 racers in the Over 50 class last year. Most were racing on a track for their 1st time ever.

Well I'm no newbie when it cums to racing, I have raced a lot of thing's but I will be a newbie when it cums to this 6x6 racing.
the only 6x6 racing I have dun is with my truck or tractor. I'm not eligible for the 50+ club but I may be able to talk my girlfriend into doing it?

Alright, then you should love it FREQ42. I don't know of one person that came off the track EVER & said they hated it.

If your girlfriend doesn't want to race with the guys in the Over 50, talk her into the Powder Puff class. I bet she'd like it.

Don's boys have been posting new video of their racers on Facebook. Looks like they have all their ducks in a row for next month.

Q's racer looks /sounds fast. With Q driving I doubt if he meets the minimum weight requirements.

BTW, speaking about the Over 50 class, don't let Don lull you into thinking that he's taking a nap in staging this year. It's all part of his strategy. Do your homework, watch the racing videos & know the track blindfolded, because when he wakes up, he's going to cover someone with so much mud you're going to need to know the track with your eyes closed. Don't say I didn't warn you.

                              Sausage time

It's time to make my shopping list for this season's sausage. I "vaguely" remember lewis and joe m wanting some for this year also. Let me know how much you want and we'll have it there for you. I can't come up with an accurate price due to pork prices skyrocketing (like everything else in the stores and gas stations. I'm not going to gouge, I just enjoy the fact that people like it. Let me know, mike

Ok, guys and girls. I think it is time to ask this question:

WHO IS COMING TO ASHTABULA? I haven't heard much except that it is a real event, so before i make the long trek to the big "O" and find i am the only one there. I thought i might just throw up a flag and ask. "Who is coming?"

                                Lewis and Peggy (Orange Crush)

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
