You're probably only going 20 or 25mph after you slow down for the turn, but you get that much adrenaline and that many tires together, bad things happen. I think I've rolled it at least twice in the Turn 1 to Turn 2 transition.

Wait till you're trying to run down a springer, and all you see is this un-fendered abomination blocking 2/3rds of the track, and you know that if you come too close to one of those tires, it'll catapult you into oblivion.

Wait till you're giving it every last ounce of throttle, and all you can hear are two screaming expansion chambers from the guy right behind you, who's giving it every last ounce of throttle.

Wait till you're sitting right at that wide-open starting line that's packed two rows deep with machines just aching to be let go. The most nerve-racking part of the whole racing experience for me is when the guy with the green flag points at you to make sure you're ready to go.

    Then the flag drops.

You've got almost six months. That's PLENTY of time.
My heart started racing just reading that! Yeah, the heck with 'seeing' my first race. If I can find a place to put a third machine, I am gonna build a racer!

They have a 4x6' (ish) footprint. Keep it in the lawn if you have to. Public (or parental) perception only holds so much water. I rent, and I have four (4!) atvs cleverly hidden on the property. Get inventive.

Once you have enough of them strategically placed around, when your wife/mom/landlord asks: "Is that another machine?" You say: "Don't you remember? That's the one I went up to New Hampshire to get a couple years ago." ....works every time.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

          (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

So with that footprint its sounds like your suggesting getting a 4x8 piece of plywood, set it on top of the machine, staple a plastic skirt to the plywood that goes to the ground. Then tell everyone you have 10 picnic tables in your yard because of an upcoming family reunion................

Those picnic tents with walls work well. You can even lower it in case a storms coming. Goes well with the picnic table excuse too.

Several years ago, I sold an old car I had in order to buy the RIM. I never said how I came up with the money for the RIM, but I just "showed up" with it. The story was, JP gave it to me as a parts machine.

                Thanks Jeff.

Always had one in the spare garage bay up on horses. sometimes complete sometime just a frame. My wife parked right next to the springer for 4 months before she noticed it. Hidden in plain site sometimes works. Like Don if you have 2 you can see from the street the neighbors don't really see the other 3 or 4 in lined up in back of the first 2. Just don't cover it with a blue tarp. neighbors always complain about things under blue tarps. Silver tarps work well as the neighbors think there is something important under silver tarps. Just saying.

So true. Even better yet, the local military surplus store had (for lack of better definition) "gilli tarps", that had camo/texture to them in addition to being weatherproof.

                    Imagine the possibilities.

Camo Tarps... That's what I use. Never had a complaint.

Can't wait!!! This year sounds like even more fun!!!

So, Whipper and Bridget, will you be coming?

You guys know how to have fun NO MATTER WHAT!!! If there was at least 2 days of actual racing on the track, we would consider it, but as it is, one day on the track is not enough for us to make that cross country drive. A lot of you know how much fun that drive is NOT!

We hope you & all the new "veteran" racers have a blast & we hope that a bunch more rookies show up trying to knock you off your pedestals.

Take lots & lots of videos for us.....

If no one takes that seat joe, ill fill it...lol

Gonna try as hard as possible to get a babysitter for a few days so me and the miss's can attend this event. the attex is trail ready..however doesnt have a cage..will this effect my ability to get it out on the trails? just curious.

Provided all goes as planned, i cant wait to see how the miss's does with primitive camping..lol...should be as interesting as the entire weekend is. haha

                              Hey wagz,

You only need the cage for racing. The place is pretty layed back. I would bring the kids. We are a family fun group, and I let my soon to be 10 year old run around with the rest of the kids with no worries. We are tight it and look out for each other here.

Well, my boy is only 2yrs old..so..it'd be tough to trail ride with the little bugger and the miss's. Thats only downfall. Once he gets a bit older, you better bet your bottom dollar he'll be there! lol i should have plenty of vacation for that date, i just gotta save up some Ca$h and get a trailer or something..or do something to get the ja-Lopy up there.
