    Ouch!

That's a mighty fine cage there Don, Bud and Q. Nice to see your new rig get off the track with no apparent damage ...and none with you too Mike!

    Great video!

Hey Fred, do you have the itch to build a racer now?

Jeff, I've been in denial this whole time,,, mud holes, trails, steep hills,, they all rock,,, but not like going fast and manuevering around turns. Cory came back from Cali on Friday. Friday morning I fixed his Max II with the Bandolera in it. Took it for a test spin to have it ready for a ride on Saturday,,,,,,,,, Man I had to be going at least 40 mph in that thing, and he has a red spring too!!

Yeah I'm about ready,,, Don't know what way to go thou,,, Max II, Attex, or Hustler? And what engine, v-twin or 2-stroke? I'll make moves when I get back from overseas. Well see!! We might be coming to Ash after all!!

I hope you guys can make it! I'll be sure to find you a good deal on something that you can build to go fast. There's nothing like going fast.......as you and I know, fast on two wheels is a blast, but to go 50+ with 6 wheels and two sticks you've got to be clinically insane, and most of us here certainly fall into that category.

I arrived at Pine Lake sunday morn in time to see thebuggyman1 placing an improvised "Free Roll Cage Testing" bumper sticker on hydromikes dinning canopy. Gee,what did I miss this time? Wow! Great footage Nick!,thanks. Glad to see nothing but a little bent up tube steel as a result. That was a nasty spill. A huge thanks to thebuggyman1 for saving me a trip to MI in nov Thanks to Don for the output spool. And thanks to Uncle Joe in Nashville for driving to Bowling Green,KY to secure the runamuks I bought (thanks again,jpswift1!). A very productive "free shipping" wkend and even got a little trail riding in Also, got to take Giz for a spin on the track, that was cool, got me thinkin "2 cycle" again,ya know what I'm sayin

Reviewing the vid in stop action, looks like you pulled back on the left stick just enough to mess things up on reentry.

I wondered what would have happened if that side wasn't locked up vs the ground too... of course, he may have ended up in a tire vs just rolling. Glad it didn't end up too bad and wish we didn't have to miss the fun!

That was some awesome footage Nick. I had a sinking feeling as soon as Mike was getting strapped in, that SOMEONE was going over. And someone did. But thankfully noone was hurt in the testing of the rollbar. Machines can be repaired or replaced. It's the family members and friends that you can't replace!
                            "Ooo, neckties.....contracts.....HIGH VOLTAGE!!"

The pink duct tape must be good stuff- it was still on the bar when we got home.

Another great weekend at Pine Lake! Thanks to Bud for holding the event and all the hospitality he showed us. We stayed over Sunday night to make the trip home easier and Bud let us use the pavilion and fireplace instead of braving the cold Ohio October night. It was very nice inside and in the 30s outside when we left this morning.

We accomplished what we wanted over the weekend and that was to find the weak spots: control rod in the McKay, bearings in the Q-ship, and Hydromike driving Alice. Okay, I almost had to force him to drive the beast so I could get his opinion on how it handled. I never asked about it when all was said & done. Kidding aside, I'm just glad he's okay- it was a scarey lookin' roll. (great video, Nick!)

It was great to see everybody and get just a little bit of adrenalin coursing over the weekend. Fun to wheel & deal with Matt O., Buggyman & JoeMeg and swap insults & compliments with everybody else. Thanks again to Drew for all the help getting the SC to me. It's finally home! Fred, Joe: Do it! Build a race machine- if you need parts or bad advice, there's a bunch of us that will be glad to assist you! You will have a blast!
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

                                (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far
