  • Amphibious atv cameo

My name is JACK HARRISON of Wilmington NC. I'm a producer and stunt coordinator and I have a small project I'm doing "just for fun" with a buddy of mine in Raleigh NC. We're currently between paid gigs and wanted to do a spoof comedy about a Pro Wrestler who fills in as an Ice Hockey Goalie who beats everyone up. When the goalie makes his wrestling style entrance to the rink, the other guys wanted to use a chopper through the tunnel. However, I've always been a huge fan of Argo and Max atvs and thought it would be very unique and funny to have him riding in on an Argo 8x8 with a bunch of hot models for his entrance. It's never been done!

This video is volunteer only, but we'll cover the gas and looking for someone in or near Raleigh, North Carolina who would love to do this in the end of October. On a side note, we'd like to see the 6x6s and 8x8s get some mainstream exposure on youtube. Should be good for the sport too!

This is probably odd to you guys, but this is completely legit. If it comes down to it... we'd love to have an Argo 8x8 first, but we can make a Max 4 work too. We just needed the room in the back for the cheerleaders to stand and ride in with the big wrestler.

I look forward to hearing from someone who want's to have fun with us on this shoot. Would be a riot...

    Respectfully,

    Hi Jack,

I know there are quite a few members in the Carolinas that would be able to help you out. And as you said, it would be great exposure for the sport. If I were closer I'd gladly volunteer any of the 6 wheelers in my fleet, but unfortunately I'm a little far away. I hope this works out for you and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I think a military-themed pro-wrestler would work, and we've got just the eight wheeler for you....

Imagine the cheerleaders you could hang off that roll bar!

              8x8 featured in short-film

A few months ago a stunt coordinator, Jack Harrison, joined the site to locate a volunteer to lend their 8x8 to his short-film. In a nutshell, he wanted the main character to make his grand entrance to the hockey arena on an 8x8. I thought it would be a neat project so I volunteered!

We had fun filming, it was a very neat experience. The only qualm I had was that I was told to show up at 11pm, but my scenes did not begin filming until 4:30am! We made the best of it but I am suffering today at work!

Here are a few shots I took, it will be exciting when the final product is complete to see this fellow making his grand entrance in an Argo!

              On the rink:

The light guy doing his setup, the first scene filmed with the Argo was entering under the light bar:

              Fog machines going, lights dimmed:

This is literally seconds before the director yelled "ACTION!" for this particular scene. The main character, a wrestler playing an out-of-control goalie, is standing behind me in the Argo flexing and doing his thing. We are led in by the cheerleaders. The girls were miserable, it was every bit of 30 degrees in that rink.

We are a little burned out today after the long night but I'm sure we'll look back a year from now and be happy we did!

              Thanks for looking yall

Awesome! I can't wait to see the finished product.

Edit: Did you get to play around on the ice any or was it all work and no play?

I think I played more than they would have preferred, but what else can you expect from volunteer rednecks??? I actually tried to replicate the sliding 360's on one of your videos, Mike... Mine were not near as fluid! The wrestler/goalie really enjoyed my tokyo drifts into our starting positions before every take though!
