Trail ride in Virgina

We're up in northern VA near Winchester, but it's not too far. The boys are always looking for a place to ride with other amphibs and we'd be up for it.

I have heard of something but I can't say for sure.

We have a place called "Wolf Island Downs" in Reidsville, NC (maybe 15 miles from the VA border)... It's pretty fun to ride, small but fun. I'd say less than 100 acres. Some track, some swamp, some mud, a lot of steep steep hills. It's rutted out like crazy as the owners let it go. Good news is that it costs $5 to ride all day.

I don't think they'd know what to do if a bunch of amphibs showed up lol

Is there a place to ride in Danville? I am open to suggestions.

BTW, I just got a Champion 3000lb winch off of Craigslist for $60 in good condition to mount to my Max IV.

I am 15 minutes from the NC/VA border, maybe 20 minutes from Danville, VA.

The Conquest should be sorted out and running very soon, I'd be excited to schedule a ride.

I know my friend, 6X6World member RPDBrady also lives in the Richmond, VA area and he has a nice Max IV. He'd probably be willing to meet up with you guys for a ride since Powhatan is pretty close to him.

Has anybody been to Slades Park? It looks like it might be an option. If anybody has got a place that they have been, I would like to hear about it.

Well, there are a few riders in the Danville area and in the Winchester area but many of us are willing to drive hundreds (some even thousands) of miles for a good 6x6 get-together.

I have not figured out a place yet, was just looking for interest first. I was also trying to ascertain how many "local" aatv owners there are. I am open to ideas so feel free to make suggestions. I have owned my Max IV for 12 years but have never went riding with anyone. I guess you could say I have gotten bit by the 6x6 fever again. I am currently trying to buy a winch from a guy on craigslist. I have a 1500lb winch that I have had for 10 years that is still in the box but I feel that I would rather have a 3000lb winch instead. So I am up for suggestions if y'all know any good places to ride.

I would like to get some riders together in Virginia to go for a day trip ride. Don't know where yet, but I would like to see if there is any interest.

We will meet at the park, enter the park and drive until you get to a concrete pad, that is where we will meet Kelly the owner.
This is where you will pay, bring cash money to be safe and food if you like.
I will be there to ride and if anybody else wants to come, that would be awesome.
Please let me know if you plan on coming so that I will be expecting you.
I hope some people can come out because I am looking forward to meeting you guys.
