  • Trail ride on Grand Island NY

Here is a ride we took last saturday 12/15/12 with 6x6world member egoperf(Tom). There were about a dozen AATVs that showed up. Here is some unedited videos of the ride, they are a bit long like always

The people that were there probably think I cut the end of that video, but my camera wasnt fully charged and stopped. After Jeff got high centered, hydromike and myself were trying to outdo each other getting stuck. Something had drove down the trails and left 18" ruts that as soon as your wheels you dropped into you were instantly high centered.

I got stuck, Mark got stuck, JP got stuck.... all within about 20' of ruts. In the interest of disclosure, I got stuck at least once again in the same sort of rut on a different trail. We were blazing back at a high rate of speed (my headlight relay ate it, so I had no lights) and I slid down into the uber-ruts that appeared to be formed by a pretty serious tractor-like machine. I've been on "the Island" a number of times with Tom and the other Islanders, and these were the muddiest conditions we had. We're usually there there in the winter. Spicer Creek was actually thawed for once, and made for a pretty fun ride.

These were great videos; your camera does a great job documenting this nonsense. Thanks for the effort....
