  • Snow ride in Meadville PA

Here is a video of a ride Amphibious drew, JPSwift1 and myself went on with the MAX IV with Adair tracks on 12/22/12. There was between 12"-18" of fresh snow and the machine just rolled it in front like a snowplow.

Great video Mark, Can't wait for snow here. Thanks for posting!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Looked like it was a blast, that Max4 was really hauling at warp speed. In fact I don't remember a Max4 being capable of going that fast. Looks like you guys had fun, thanks for sharing.

We could have made a fortune that day if you had brought the plow. Oh well it was still a blast.

Wow Mark, I can't believe how fast that MaxIV is, those videos look like they were shot from a snow sled not a MaxIV, and with three people on board in that much snow? Wow, I am so use to seeing Argos creep along in snow. That machine turns very well in that deep powder. I assume you know your way through those woods because I was getting just a little nervous as you dodged in and out of the trees, I keep wondering what was under the snow and hoping you wouldn't hit a tree or something buried under the snow, well looks like a fun time, I am sure Drew and JP were impressed with your machine, I know I am!

What size tires are you running with the tracks on your max? That thing is an absolute tank. I was thinking of trading my Max 11 up to a IV but now i see there is a track kit available for the II through argo Hmmm. The videos you shot on the island were great too.You were going up and down that creek without a problem thats normally very hard to get through you made it look easy

Mark's machine has 21" rawhides under the adair tracks. Let me tell you, there were times we were using every bit of the 29hp his machine puts out to get up some of those hills. That snow was deep.

I have a Max IV and the forum member that I ride with ( Noel Woods ) has a Max II. The Max II has more room to stretch out your legs , you sit lower inside of the tub for a better center of gravity, and with the tub heated up and clearanced to fit 25" inch Mud Bugs on it, a Max II will almost clear a gallion milk jug. It only lacks a 1/2" of an inch. If it were me and my friend who owns the Mud II will also agree with this ,we'd clearance the tub on a Max II to fit 22 inch tires and install some Adair tracks on it. If I had known how capable an off road machine that a Max II is with Adair tracks,22 hp motor, 13 tooth sprockets on the T-20, a red spring on the T-20 clutch, I'd have bought a Max II and not a Max IV.
