  • Pioneer, Tennessee Ride at Royal Blue August 2-4, 2013

Planning a weekend at Windrock Park in Tennessee. Looking for all of you guys here in the southeast for a 72,000 acre weekend of riding. Have 3-4 of us already committed and looking for more. No date set yet.

That looks like a nice place to ride. 72,000 acres is probably the largest ATV park I've ever heard of. Does it have much mud for our amphibs? I'm sure the trails would be great for quads and Rzrs. It's quite a long drive for me but I won't rule it out just yet.

Yeah LittleG, looks like a madhouse on those jamboree weekends. Have you been there before? That would be awesome if you and others could make it down.

Really considering this one. Keep us all informed as to the plans.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Royal blue might have a little more mud than windrock. been awhile since i was there but it was pretty muddy. I think there is a few vids on the tube. It's about an hour north of windrock and i know there is one or two vids of a max ll at royal blue on the tube. And you can access royal blue, brimstone, and windrock from the same mountain top,it's a long haul though.

An hour north of anywhere in Tennessee is about a 2 less hour round trip for me. I'm watching for the date.

I am going to look at that Royal Blue. Working on a date. Wasn't sure what kind of response i would get but so far so good. Open to suggestions, thinking the end of June or mid July? Ya'll gimme some feedback on what's good for ya'll. July 4th is not good, from what i here that place is crazy on holiday weekends.

Sounds like this ride might be ok to make. Just keep in mind the dates of other big rides already scheduled. June 22nd is Race Weekend and everyone who is anyone in the 6x6 community will be there. Also, July 4th is Hatfield McCoy's first time allowing our machines on its trail due to a special permit granted to our community. This is a must attend ride for anyone in the general area to ensure our permission to use the trails in the future. I will be at both these rides, and encourage everyone else to do the same.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

I live very close to Windrock and ride there on my dirtbike and 4x4 rock crawler style trail rigs often. Never seemed like a place to take the hustlers . There are few trails if any , that would float a 6x6 . The majority of the trails are better suited for the four wheeler side by side crowd. If you do go ,be prepared for long stretches of gravel roads and even some black top between the cool obsticles . As Snipe lee recomended
I would check out royal blue and Brimstone recreation. Both areas are close to Windrock.

That's a great point Drew. My bad, maybe i need to look towards August. I can't make the Hatfield/McCoy ride due to other plans, i hate it cause this is a huge opportunity for the 6x6 world like you said. i did some searching last night and think i agree with Snipe Lee and now Whistlepig on Royal Blue. The videos i watched have creeks, mud and lots of trails with mountain terrain. Resort owner is very nice and this has access to state land that is just for off road vehicles. It is also a little closer for the guys coming from the north.

Also very easy to get to,you can see it from interstate 75. Once you get here you got your choice of Royal Blue,Brimstone,or Windrock. They all three basicly join each other, your choice.
