Yea, that's what I really like about Adair tracks, if you are aware they are going to come off, you can almost always drive back into them. Properly adjusted I think it would be almost impossible to loose one. Looks like it is time to remove a few links or a grouser. Hard to believe I was able to drive back into that looking at the picture. I could not do that with the factory rubber tracks. Just think, if I were to loose a track then I would have to drive around with little bitty 25" Rawhide IIIs for the rest of the day. That might really cramp my style.

I was very impressed with how well the tracks stayed on. I haven't put many hours on Adair tracks so I always find myself using caution in ditches just to take it easy on the tracks. Keith proved that is not a problem. His tracks were very loose and he drove like a wildman through all the ditches and ruts he could find. Not to mention he drove where nothing else could. It was a show most people would have paid admission to see. I hope my videos cover at least a part of it. Here are a few pictures until the video is ready:

After 80 hours on my Adair tracks I think it is time to remove a grouser though. Closest I've come to losing a track. .

Very fun ride and worth the drive to run at Haspin. I was happy to see all the mud. After 80 hours on my Adair tracks I think it is time to remove a grouser though. Closest I've come to losing a track. I think the climb up the Devils backbone really put Tim's tracks to the test. Not sure the UHMW grousers were intended for rock climbing but I was able to put the Max IV up a pretty steep grade.

Just got the car unloaded. Thanks to Matt O for his hospitality driving me around in the Ox. What a fantastic machine those are! And thanks to Nick and Mikey for letting Dakota tag along with you guys. He needs more time with positive role models like you two. He really had a great time hanging with you guys. And of course, thanks Buggyman for letting me beat the living snot out of that Max II of yours. I owe you some gas at the next ride! It was a pleasure to see all the familiar faces and to put some faces with some very popular names on the site. I must say, those guys at Adair Argo are great people. I someday hope to do business with them, as soon as I'm caught up on my projects. It may take some time for that though. I still have to finish the gotcha before I can start the 980 tall tub build.

For those that have never made it to Haspin, I was very impressed with both the size of the park, and quality of the terrain to ride. Although there are some easy trails, I would suggest a fully serviced and ready to go machine be brought there. There is some steep, muddy, and rocky hills there. On the flat, the mud was pretty nasty, but you get in the hills and it's some serious technical driving going on. It's probably not the best place to learn to ride, but Wally, Matt's new guy, did earn his newbie stripes on a Max IV over the weekend, and although it might have taken him a few attempts to clear a few obstacles, he kept at least 4 tires on the ground at all times and followed the group everywhere.

Wow what a great place to ride! Haspin has the deepest mud and the steepest hills. We had great weather for November. It rained all day Thursday so everything was muddy for us on Friday and there was no dust. We had a good turn out, hard to count the actual number but I'd guess 15 amphibs. A good selection of Maxs with Vendetta tires, Argos with Adair tracks, and a couple Mudd Oxs with gas and turbo diesel engines. I have a some good video of all the fun and I'm sure a few others do to. Already looking forward to the next ride!

I didnt get to make this ride either,my new jeep project didnt let me get a trailer hitch put on the wifes new vehicle.Last time I used my trailer some of the boards gave way,so time for a new floor also.

Well we tried to make it. Got as far as Illinois had trouble with the new trailer and decided to limp it home. Didn't trust it the whole way. Hopefully next summer. Was really lookin forward to this ride. Hope you all gave fun.

I just talked to Pete at Haspin he said its raining not hard but the bad stuff is going to hit them about 4 this afternoon. I should be there when it hit them the hardest...lol

Talked to Tim at Adair Argo. He and Mike will be there on Friday. Looks like it is raining like crazy at Haspin right now. Should be nice and muddy. I should be there Friday late.
