That ride was so much fun, and with a big group you could be pretty fearless...lol
It is no doubt the most difficult place I've ever driven in, and it no doubt could have it's way with just about any machine you dare take in there. Probably one of the most interesting rides I've been a part of and it was an excellent learning opportunity for many of us that were there!

I can't wait to go back in there with a few new ideas to try out. Following Doug through the swamp with his 8x8 and the Adair pro series tracks with winter kit, he just made it look easy, but the videos really show how difficult it actually is. If you drop through the floating bog, there aren't a lot of machines that won't really struggle to get back up on top. Overall it is a pretty slow and easy ride for just about everyone, but you will want to pack a lunch and be patient if you and a few buddies head back in there ...lol :-)

Here is another little clip as we head into the heart of the swamp to the springhole, a large 5 acre piece of highground with a spring bubbling out of the ground feeding a small lake a few hundred yards away.

As someone from a country where we don't really get swamps, maybe the odd little soft patch of ground, why would you buy a swamp ??? What can you do with it ?

                Rodp,

In our area hunting can be really good in swampy areas. I suspect the same is true in Wisconsin. Of course, in Alaska, we don't normally buy swampy land because we can use it free of charge. We do find ourselves crossing a lot of it to get to our cabins, or whatever, though.

If you recreate in aatv's why not take the challenge of doing it on swampy ground? Besides, it looks like an excellent place to test a machine and it's operator.

It looks like the group had an excellent time playing in the muck.

Doug, you have one nasty place to ride. That stuff would send me back to the trailer begging Tim to let me borrow an Adair machine. Great pictures. I look forward to watching all of the videos.

I watched all the videos several times, yet just noted the little Camo Max 2 that I think is being driven by Nick O? That's an awesome little machine and if that's a sign of whats coming down the pike since Matt took R.I. under the Mudd Ox banner, we should be seeing many other updates soon.

I hear 29 HP EFIs are standard (or soon will be) across the Max line-up, that and some updated colors and some mechanical improvements such as automatic chain adjusters, should really make a big impact on the market.

Just imagine that Max2 with some Adair tracks on it.

Thanks kim for stopping out,and welcome to the site!!
Kim and Frank own the farm across the road from mine, and this is their first EVER experience being on, let alone driving any kind of amphib,so I thought it fitting to give them my new 2014 HDI to mess with for the day. They are the ones in most of the videos directly behind us.I still can't understand how Frank, with zero, none, nadda, experience on an amphib untill this day, is the only one that never fell behind, and was always, and lots of times, the only one behind us.....LOL.
