  • CMATVA rodeo Sept 27th, 2014 in Allport PA

Wayne Yahn has extended the invitation to us once again for the annual CMATVA rodeo at the Allport speedway near Philipsburg, PA on September 27th this year. They always put on a great event and treat us very well. Here's a link to the flyer (they still use Bud's picture for the flyer)

I hope some more of us show up this year, Lewie and I were the only ones there last year. It is a well run event by some very nice people and is a lot of fun when there are more than just a couple of machines there. I doubt our entry fees even covered the cost of the trophy.

I'll be able to make it this year, and I think Bud will be able to meet us there if I load Alice and bring her up. I don't think Q will be around, but if he is I don't think he'd want to miss it.

Can you two stroke it or do you have to four stroke it? Do you need a roll bar etc?

Most of us run two-strokes, but either is fine. You don't need a roll bar, but you do need a helmet.

I should have asked more questions. My Thunderchief is stock. No racing seat, seat belt, roll bar. I have a helmet. Okay or do I need to install something?

Ok I mapped it out and it's not to far from me. Is this a two day event or just one day. Like can I get there the evening befor and stay on grounds ??
We use to go to a rodeo deal that was thrown by a fire hall back in the day and it was a weekend deal. Get there Friday and pull out sunday evening. Had trail ride all weekend and other compition events. Had a Blast !!
If you all have more info on this fill me in as I am looking forward to an event like this!!
