Never knew there were so many kinds of mud till becoming a seasoned amphib driver.

Mudbug is actually being kind...there were a couple of times he pushed me from the back with his Max. That was some difficult mud for sure....after yesterday, I have come to the conclusion that anything can be stuck, but the true strength of the amphib, is that you are not going to stick them too bad...with a little teamwork, Mudbug and I got out of just about everything without too much difficulty.

The only really bad spot was one that looked dry, and Mudbug rolled over it and immediately sank over the tires, he yelled back don't come in...so of course I went in and we were both stuck, but with some work we eventually got out. The funny thing is when we were almost out a bunch of lifted quads with big tires drove by and watched us, then left...did not say anything. My thinking is that if they could have easily made it through this hole, they would have...but instead they drove off??

Yeah , boncrshr wanted to try out his Vampire tires in some REALLY challenging mud . Well folks , this weekend he got his wish BIG TIME ! Right after we left the parking area , boncrshr and I drove our machines through a place filled with lilly pads, swamp grass , and water that was 3/4 of the way over the tires . The last time wildtexasranger and I drove through this very same place , it had 3-4 feet of water . In about 15 minutes of driving through this stuff , I was wishing I had 6 Gator tires on my Max IV , instead of just two on the front . That Hustler 950 ,with the 6 Vampire tires on it , went through the soft mud MUCH easier than the Gator and Terra tire combo I had . In some places he drove through easily , and I had to rock my Max side to side , just to make it through the same spot . The next time out , I,m running six Gator tires on my Max IV . The water was not deep enough to swim through , and to drive through it , you needed some REALLY aggressive mud tires !

Just made it home...had a real good time with Mudbug at River Run Park, that place has it all. Got to experience really deep mud with the same consistency as pudding for the first time. I ended up sitting on the front of the Hustler facing rearwards and rocking quite a bit. If you see the video...I am not a plumber...just saying.

Mudbug and I both broke beads on rims within about 1 minute of each other...strange huh?

Hey Carrant,

The board of directors (me and Mudbug), moved the ride to tomorrow. So far, we have been riding in the Neches, Tx area which should not be too far for you. South to Buffalo, head east for an hour or so...I sure would like to see a Buffalo in action. I have always liked them, and felt that they are one of the most utilitarian vehicles on the market...

I think we may hit River Run ATV park tomorrow....

Yeah, me too rdr...there aren't too many guys around this area.. I PM'ed TexasHustlerBigfoot but he has not responded...hopefully he'll get the message or read this thread, I'd like to see a Bigfoot in action!
