MMIV- I know there's got to be lots of video footage of the weekend, and I'm a little anxious to see some myself. It seemed like everywhere you turned someone had a camera rolling. I would have had mine, but it was recalled for a defect. I thought it would be back in plenty of time for Ledges, but my daughter called me on Thursday after I got there to let me know it had arrived in the mail. My timing stinks.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

    (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

If you don't see any Attexes, it’s because I'm working on Attex Assault 2 and I'm saving those clips for that....Speaking of which, anyone with raw files of the racers and springers that you'd like to see in AA2, please pm me.

How do you tell when it is the week after the Ledges ride? When everything you own is covered in sand and mud, your body is covered in poison ivy, and you have a grin on your face that will be there for quite a while!! I thought it would be difficult to top last years great weekend, but 2008 was even better. It was great to see everyone again, and I got to go for a zoomy drive in Whippers springer Max! It is pretty rare to see ME going fast but that machine is a blast! Our last ride sunday afternoon was the best, with Chucks MaxIV performing a back-flip into the creek and me doing a vertical tail-slip back to earth after a failed hill-climb, good stuff all around. Everyone who was there -please take the time to send your thanks to Leo and his staff and family for making this event happen. It is a heck of a lot of work for them and I hope they decide to do it again next year. My poison ivy should be gone by then, I hope!

                Great!

Loved the video George. Can't wait for more.

Did anyone count how many AATVs were present by chance. From the video there seemed to be a lot of happy people there.

Evil enjoyed the pictures you posted also hope to see more to come.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

I believe Leo told us it was 72 machines that showed up. There were many people who brought more than one machine to ride though. I'd imagine there were 40-50 families.

                      George ,

As I was watching the last part of the video you posted , I saw Whipper at the controls of the Mud Ox , and it looked like the Mud Ox could move down the trail pretty quick .

I think Matt said about 25 MPH with the current set up.

Yeah, as far speed goes, it appears to match the Max IV and the Argo eights. I did not get to see it on the trails or in the mud but everyone who has seen it said it's unmatched with its abilities to get through tough terrain.

There's one video of the prototype Mudd-Ox on utube or google that shows what that machine will do. The whole principal of having one set of wheels help you turn in mud instead of holding you back is the key to going where you want to in the mud instead of the mud guiding you where you don't want to go. The 40 horses under the hood doesn't hurt either. I feel quite confident in saying the Mudd-Ox will out perform any Argo or Max out there.
